After purchase you'll receive a QR code by email. On iPhone: Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM → Use QR Code → scan. On Android: Settings → Network → Add eSIM → scan the QR. Total time is about 60 seconds.

You need an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or your current mobile data) to install the eSIM profile. That's why we recommend installing at home before your trip. Once installed, the eSIM activates on first network connection at your destination.

Make sure the QR is fully visible on screen (don't crop it). If you're scanning from the same phone, use the manual entry option so the email also includes the SM-DP+ address and Activation Code so you can paste them by hand.

Yes, the QR code in your email can be reinstalled as many times as you need, as long as your plan is still active. Each installation consumes one of your eSIM slots on the phone.

For most countries, activate on arrival and your phone will connect to a local network automatically. For China, UAE, and Turkey, activate BEFORE crossing the border (see the country page for each destination for specifics).

Validity begins when the eSIM first connects to a network in the destination country, NOT when you install or activate it. You can safely install at home days before your trip without burning days.

First, check that the new eSIM line is set to ON and as your data line in Settings. Then toggle airplane mode on/off to force a network search. If still no signal, contact us we're 24/7.

When auto-activate is on, you don't need to manually switch your data line to the new eSIM on arrival, your phone does it automatically when it detects a local network. Saves a setup step at the airport.

Yes. eSIMs only work on carrier-unlocked phones. If you bought your phone outright or through a manufacturer (Apple, Samsung), it's almost certainly unlocked. If you got it free or subsidized through a carrier contract, check with that carrier before buying an eSIM.

Yes — modern phones with eSIM support dual-SIM operation. Keep your home number active for calls and SMS, and use the Esim70 eSIM for data abroad. No conflict.

Yes. iPhones store up to 8 eSIM profiles (only one or two active at a time depending on model). Most modern Androids store multiple eSIMs too. You can install Esim70 plans for several trips and switch between them as needed.

Yes, if the QR code hasn't been scanned and the plan hasn't started, we'll refund in full. Once a plan is activated, refunds are not possible because the network costs are already incurred.

Yes. From your account or your email confirmation, you can buy a top-up that adds data to your existing eSIM so no need to reinstall. The top-up uses the same eSIM profile already on your phone.

Receipts are emailed immediately after purchase and stored in your account at /account/orders. For business expense reports, you can print a clean version of any past order from your account.

Yes. All Esim70 plans support tethering by default. Your phone can act as a Wi-Fi hotspot for laptops, tablets, or other devices. No daily cap on hotspot data.

Not necessarily. Look at our regional plans (Europe, Asia, Americas, Middle East, Africa) where one eSIM works across all countries in the region. For a 2–3 country trip in the same region, regional plans are usually cheapest.

Generally yes, foreign-routed eSIMs typically bypass local VoIP restrictions in countries that block them.
